The Governor of Warrap State, H.E. Lt. Gen. Francis Marial Abur, officially launched the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations by ringing the bell at Emmy Robbin Primary School. This symbolic act marked the commencement of the exams across Warrap State and the country.
Addressing the 503 candidates at Emmy Robbin Primary School, Governor Francis Marial encouraged them to demonstrate resilience and dedication as they conclude their primary education journey after eight years of hard work and sacrifice. “Ringing this bell signifies not only the beginning of your exams but also the start of a new chapter in your educational journey,” he remarked, inspiring the students to excel.
The State Minister of General Education and Instruction, Hon. Awut Mayom Agok, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to free primary and secondary education, as enshrined in the country’s constitution. She emphasized the Ministry’s efforts, alongside its partners, to ensure the successful implementation of these policies.
Minister Awut commended the 8,002 candidates sitting for their exams across 99 centers in Warrap State, urging them to remain patient, resilient, and cooperative with their teachers and invigilators to ensure a peaceful examination process.
The launch of the exams highlights the state’s commitment to promoting education and empowering its youth as future leaders.
