President Kiir receives briefing from Governor Marial on Warrap State’s affairs

𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚,𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫,𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒— President Salva Kiir Mayardit met and discussed with Warrap State Governor Francis Marial Abur about the state’s general security situation.

Governor Marial highlighted the ongoing issues of communal violence and cattle raiding, which are increasing tensions among the communities.

He also reported that the ongoing flooding in the area has displaced many residents, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

Governor Abur further emphasized that the state Government is currently enhancing efforts through community-driven initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue and cooperation among conflicting groups in the state as the only remedial approaches to quell the predominantly existing tensions in the State.
